Japanese Wood Block Prints

The Del Monte Forest created to look like a Japanese Wood Block Print.  Wrapping up a class at the Digital Art Academy with Karen Bonaker where I’m learning how to create a simulated wood block look for images in Corel Painter.  Just for fun, because I enjoy learning new things.  And there is always something new to learn in Corel Painter.  Such a powerful software that can do more things than I’ll ever be able to grasp!

Could not resist trying this work on the stack of birds image provided in class.

And a few poppies.  None of my creations would fall under the category of traditional, but that is all part of the learning ~ trying the techniques on a variety of images.

Now I need to focus on a few Christmas tasks around here. . . . I’m sure your holidays are completely under control.  Someone asked me today if I was ready for Christmas.  I replied, “Yes, I am, but I’ve not done much to prepare for it.”  I was honest.

Thanks for stopping by.
