Just a few more days and we will all be watching them say their “I DOs” ~ our daughter’s wedding is Saturday and all the details have come together. Amazingly so, since they announced their engagement 5 months ago. We knew it was a matter of time, but once the date became available at the venue, it was time to move forward! Actually, after Saturday, we will be “between weddings” as our son gets married next May!
Thank you all for your patience the past few months ~ a wedding can really distract you! But I’ve been working on new brushes and tutorials for the upcoming workshops with Marie Otero. In fact, I have a 45 page booklet for students outlining pretty much everything I know in Corel Painter. Of course, I will continue to learn so that I can continue to bring you new ways to paint. The booklet will be available to those taking the Charlotte workshop in October and it will be divided into sections (beginner and intermediate) for those coming to Pacific Grove next February. You will find this very helpful ~ everything is written out for you with images and screen shots. Plenty of room to take notes and a great reference to have.
Speaking of painting. . . I am wondering who would be interested in a wet paint day in my studio? I’m thinking that we could print our digital paintings on canvas and play with some fluid acrylics and mediums to enhance your work. . . not sure when Marie and I could squeeze this in, but it is on the back burner at the moment. Maybe a future digital day accompanied by a wet paint day? ? ?
AND the new Paint Splash Texture Pack will be out in a day or two. That was such a fun texture pack to create. It ranges from soft watercolors to bold acrylics.
As summer winds down, I hope you are looking forward to the cooler breezes of Autumn. I have another announcement to make, but it will need to wait until after the wedding. Stay tuned. . .
