Plaster on Canvas

A week ago I was tired of technology. I bought a gallon of Venetian Plaster and started spackling it onto canvas and boards with a very large putty knife, sanding until smooth, then plastering through some stencils. This is my “practice” canvas where I try out the colors and work on some of that grunge. I need to have a “practice” canvas before I start adding color and more elements to the larger boards. Some things here I like, some things I don’t ~ but what a great way to make a mess and explore something new!! This particular canvas has been re-painted white, re-plastered, and re-stenciled twice already. I think it needs more work, some sanding, and a bit more white paint before I begin the next “practice” phase. . .

Go get messy this weekend. . .
