Just returned from a week along the west coast ~ Pacific Grove, Carmel, Big Sur ~ and what a wonderful week it was. Marie Otero and I had a great group of students for our Paint-By-The-Sea workshop. Lots of learning in Corel Painter as well as processing in PhotoShop, not to mention some expert camera help for our students. We guide them along the process of shooting, processing, and painting on our workshop adventures.
This is Fisherman’s Wharf in Pacific Grove ~ the tide was low so I took a peek below the pier and was surprised at the wonderful light.
Keyhole Rock at the Julia Pfeiffer State Beach ~ a wonderful beach to wait for sunset.
Cypress Point LookOut along 17-Mile-Drive in Pebble Beach.
A quick beach painting ~ the ocean breezes were wonderful.
The coast is quite rugged and beautiful. Image taken at Lover’s Point in Pacific Grove. Our next joint adventure will be Paint-By-The-Lake at the cabin on Donner Lake in the Tahoe area. And don’t forget, we still have openings for our Southern France adventure in September!
I’m only home for a short while ~ I’ll be off on adventure again very soon, this time heading to Africa. I’ll be out of touch for a couple weeks.
Our new on-line workshop will be announced shortly for sign-ups. It will be released April 2nd ~ I’ll be back before then and be ready to answer questions on the private Facebook page we are setting up for the class: Digital Paint Works Part One. Watch our page for details: PhotoPaintWorks
I know some of you are still in the snow, but I do hope there is some sunshine in your future!
