Thinking of France

When I am old. . .

Even headed to the local market, it is done with style and grace in France.  No jeans or tattered tennies while shopping for the best produce.  So, when I am old I shall wear orange ~ and walk to the market.  In France, of course.  Well, I can dream!

Just going through some of the images I took on the last trip to France ~ it makes me look forward to going back.  So much to see and capture ~ at the markets, down an alley, and even the “up close” details such as this shutter latch.

This gentleman was unaware that I saw him making his deliveries early in the day down this side alley.  His striped shirt caught my eye, then I waited for him to get on his bicycle.

And I cannot forget Bernard ~ Charming Bernard who made tea for us.  Here he stands outside his Bed and Breakfast in an old mill.  He had amazing gardens.

The people are friendly and lovely and seem so happy to see you.  It really makes you feel welcome when wandering through their villages and driving through their country.

I am thinking of doing a small book with my painted images from France.  A project for next year, after the holidays when I have more time.  I’ll keep you posted on that!

Thank you for stopping by. . .
